Avoiding Lock Down

  • Give yourself time.
  • Solicit help from friends and family on semi-terrific days.
  • Write things down, in the same place.
  • Make a new friend.
  • Smile at a stranger.
  • Meditate
  • Assess the difference between how much is too much and how much is not enough.
  • Do something nice for someone else for which you do no get paid.
  • Don't confuse yourself. Organize and put things back from where they came.
  • Rest - avoid the need for a complete overhaul.
  • Get a second opinion.
  • Meditate.
  • Develop and in-out rule, something new in, something old out.
  • Avoid known stressors, especially during a critical period.
  • Focus on the do-able not the impossible.
  • Recognize your limitations as just that. They should not be used as an excuse.
  • Clean up the cerebral "dust bunnies." Exercise your brain regularly to keep it healthy.
  • Meditate.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Practice your affirmations. (See affirmations)
  • When the opportunity presents itself, take out the mental trash. Replace no's with yes', can't with try, won't with will.
  • Remember that things take time.
  • Mediate.
  • Enjoy the wait.
  • Remember, you are not alone.
  • Some things can't be fixed.
  • Recognize opportunity when it knocks.
  • Know your inbox!
  • Meditate.
  • Don't be a clutter bug.
  • Don't pay tomorrow for a hamburger today.
  • Enjoy a birth everyday, a flower, a baby, a friendship, a kind word.
  • Laugh out loud.
Last but not least, when things get tough, remember
"This too shall pass"
